Wooh!

After much convincing, Deland agreed to play for Sherman’s Miami University. As he made his debut there, his career saw huge milestones. He impressed everyone with his performance that he was offered a spot at the National Football League. With all these happenings, he completely forgot about his past. But he never knew that destiny had planned something else for him.

NFL Cincinnati Bengals

He played at NFL in Cincinnati Bengals. On the field, he had played with all his passion and expertise. Though Sherman and Deland could not meet often due to Deland’s busy schedule and lined up practices, they were still in touch. Unfortunately, after a short while only, a tragedy struck. The tragedy which brought Deland close to his past.

Fullstop

Deland suffered a major blow at his knee. This ended his professional career. Due to ill health, there were no scopes that he could play. He once again felt broken. A blooming career coming to an end like this was shattering to him. And this was when Sherman again stood as a backbone to Deland. In the coming years, Deland’s life again took a sharp turn.

 A New Journey

In the coming years, Deland got married. He was trying to come in terms with his personal life which was now embarking upon a beautiful journey. He was happy and even had two kids. With a distraught family life in the past, this new life made him feel content. But, one thing still bothered him.

The Gridiron

In an attempt to run away from his past, Deland chose football. And now staying away from the game was unbearable to him. After looking for various possibilities, Deland finally got a way to keep playing gridiron not knowing that something unbelievable was coming his way.

A Coach

Deland decided to mentor other players at the game. He became a coach for the players at Harmony Community School in Cincinnati itself. There he gave his best of the knowledge and skills along with the experience he had gained to the upcoming players. And soon within two decades of teaching, he was a coach at the University of Southern California.
