Toyota A-Bat

Toyota wanted to manufacture a car that was environmentally friendly and also current. But they did not get the memo as intended, with a huge flop in introducing the A-Bat car. It was first a hybrid 4 cylinder car then had two small solar panels on the dashboard.people were repelled by the awkward design of the car. Also, Toyota made a chest of drawers at the rear end. This concept was a flop and we hope Toyota learned their lesson that some concept need not be con conceptualized.

2002 Chevy Bel Air Concept Car

Big car companies either create concept cars that would have a futuristic approach or brings out the nostalgic feeling of the past. The sometimes forget that people do not want to see another version of the pre-owned cars that they had 30 or  40 years ago. The 2002 Chevy Bel Air concept car had a turbo button that could speed up the car while driving. It was a bit odd for a nostalgic car to carry this concept. The car was not all that appealing and quite resembled a lump of red brick. It was not well received by the public.

2001 Toyota Pod Concept Car

Next, we have the concept car for the Toyota Pod. Toyota in a partnership with Sony wanted to create a futuristic car that people would love. It had four stools which could spin in all 360 degrees. When people saw the car, they decided that if the future of cars were going to look like this, they wanted the future to wait. It was certainly not the most appealing car to look at. The AI-controlled car gave the Pod the ability to show emotions which were in a way very creepy for a car.

1989 Ford Mustang Concept Car

Ford made a decision that it was time to lead the brand of fast wheels in the car industry. The 1989 Mustang concept car, there was a lot of buzz. The excited wearied off when people realized that the inside of the car was extremely hot. It was like a prop in a sci-fi movie. The concept car was later changed and produced as the  Ford Probe. The Probe actually became very popular with certain people as the brand hit the mark with regards to the design and look of the vehicle.

Dodge Super 8 Hemi

Dodge wanted to create a concept car that could boost the nostalgic feeling from the people. They were quite confident about the engine of this car. The original Hemis had very good engines in the beginning. But then soon, people tested the Super 8 Hemi and found that they would rather spend 6 hours in a Super 8 Motel with a black light than spending 6 hours in the Super 8 Hemi concept car. It could have been a very sexy car that was worth flaunting but the concept was missed by a huge mark. The design was not cohesive and all in all, it looked like a complete mess.

Pontiac Sunfire

The Sunfire has become one of the biggest misses in delivering a good concept car. The concept Sunfire was supposed to be an answer to the Japanese companies which were dominating the car industry during those times. The car consisted of a CD player with a remote at the back and even a DJ for the one driving. The car sold quite well but was not for good reasons. The only good thing to do now is to look back at the concept of this car, improvise and implement better ideas on it as it indeed had potential.
