Daniel Sunjata is prominently known for appearing on the series ‘Rescue Me’. The actor performs in theatre, television, and film. He was born in Chicago and he mentioned that his biological father was black and mother was white. He is of mixed heritage and that helped him in his career. Sunjata argued, “As an ambiguously non-white actor, I’ve been able to play light-skinned African-American guys, Latinos, and I don’t think that I’ve ever had to play some kind of ethnic stereotype or something that was typed specifically for a person of color.”
