While in the middle of a news report on poor road conditions, this Russian reporter ended up in pretty bad conditions herself. While trying to add some spice to her segment, she attempted a leap across the puddle she was staying in the middle of. No need to describe what happened next. She could not land properly and found herself sitting in the middle of freezing water.
Premature election
This one is not about one single person but a whole network. During the 2000 US presidential elections, Al Gore and Bush were the final candidates. CNN declared Al Gore as the winner but the truth was that the race was “too close to call”. After tons of bureaucracy, Bush became US president and CNN added this mistake to its records.
Live canoodling
This was an unfortunate but very funny mistake. This news anchor thought that live on-air was a good moment to say to the meteorologist: “maybe we can canoodle before you get into it.” When he realized his misconception, the news anchor was very embarrassed. He did not know the meaning of ‘canoodle’, thinking it meant to chat. “Take it away, get me off camera.” If you are wondering, she rejected it.
Buttery fingers
While feeding pumpkins to polar bears at a zoo, meteorologist Tom Brown did throw something else as well. He successfully threw two pumpkins into the water. However, at his third attempt to feed the hungry animals, he accidentally threw his microphone as well! Let us all agree he was not trying to make contact with those cute huge bears. He did handle the situation glamorously, laughing his pants off!
Teens just wanna have f***
In the middle of a segment about teenage jobs, news anchor Holly Pietrzak mentioned that “more teens are having f***”. You may have guessed that she was actually trying to say ‘luck’ instead of the f-bomb and she did correct herself afterward. However, that is a moment she will not be able to erase from the Internet.
